NEW PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT

Updated: Oct 6, 2023

This month CPSN welcomes an exciting new partnership, announcing our involvement in a national consortium of cerebral palsy specialists, which will deliver Australia’s first online platform for people with cerebral palsy. CPSN, Cerebral Palsy Australia, Ability First and Cerebral Palsy Alliance will collaborate on the project to deliver an online ‘one stop shop’ for information relating to cerebral palsy for people with CP, their families, support providers, the community and mainstream services. Across the partnership, the consortium will work together to focus on authentically representing their members, clients and participants on the issues that are most important to them. Funded as part of a recent National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) funding round, the project will harness reputable national expertise, technological innovation and contemporary practices to provide trusted and accessible information.

Most importantly the partnership and project will embed people with CP at the very centre of its development and implementation. Simone Power has taken a secondment as Development Manager for the project, while CPSN has welcomed Cathy Kirwan to the team as the new Membership and Communications Manager. The national online platform is scheduled for launch early 2021.

CPSN will keep you informed about the project, including opportunities to have your say.
