Meet Jed

Tell us about yourself?

My name is Jed. I am 12 years old and I am lucky to have a gay family. Every gay family is different but I have one Mum, one Dad and one Pauli and one Katie. But it’s like having two dads and two mums.

What are your interests?

I am totally 100% passionate about DVDs, iPads and YouTube …. I mean YouTube videos about DVD’s. I enjoy visiting family friends, going to the city, the zoo, museum and ACMI Screen World at Federation Square. I also love playgrounds – if they have a swing or spinner I can use. But I especially LOVE holidays at the beach or a good hotel with nice beds and excellent Wi-Fi.

What is your greatest achievement, or the thing you are most proud of about yourself?

Biggest achievement – when I could walk on my own… I was nearly 8yrs old. I still fall over though and I don’t listen to my mum to slow down, which drives her nuts.

What is the most important thing people should know about you?

At first it looks like I don’t care or understand. But I just need time to get to know you – I can’t talk but I communicate in different ways. If you aren’t interested in me… I’m not interested in you. Please just hang out with me awhile and I’m sure we will have a laugh together.
